Jessica J. Lin, MD, on Neladalkib in Advanced ALK-Positive NSCLC
ASCO 2026
Jessica J. Lin, MD, Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute, presents data from the ALKOVE-1 study, which is looking at the investigational ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) neladalkib among patients with ALK-positive non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC); Dr. Lin discusses the first analyses of phase II TKI-pretreated patients and preliminary data in TKI-naive patients (Abstract 8503).

Thomas A. Jandl, MD, PhD, of Stony Brook University Hospital, discusses data from part 1B of the OLYMPIA-3 trial, which showed that among patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), the safety profile of the first-line combination of odronextamab and CHOP chemotherapy was generally manageable and preliminary efficacy was encouraging, with no meaningful differences between regimens. Additionally, combination with odronextamab did not impact the delivery of CHOP (Abstract 7009).

Mazyar Shadman, MD, of the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, describes the safety and efficacy results of the all-oral first-line combination regimen of sonrotoclax and zanubrutinib for patients with treatment-naive chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), as well as the doublet’s effect on measurable residual disease (Abstract 7043). He also discusses the phase III BGB-11417-304/CELESTIAL-TNCLL-2 trial; this ongoing study is evaluating sonrotoclax plus zanubrutinib vs venetoclax and acalabrutinib in treatment-naive patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) (Abstract TPS7099).

Ronald C. Chen, MD, MPH, FASCO, of the University of Kansas Medical Center, presents health-related quality of life (HRQoL) data from the AMBASSADOR trial, which showed that in patients with high-risk muscle-invasive urothelial carcinoma after radical surgery, adjuvant pembrolizumab for 1 year approximately doubled disease-free survival, causes fatigue and dyspnea which modestly impacted physical function and ability to perform certain roles (such as work and hobbies), without impact on overall quality of life (Abstract 4513).

Evan T. Hall, MD, of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, discusses findings from the randomized phase II MATRiX trial, which evaluated the efficacy of the ATR inhibitor tuvusertib with or without avelumab in patients with anti–PD-(L)1–refractory Merkel cell carcinoma (Abstract LBA9514).

Kevin Kalinsky, MD, MS, FASCO, of Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, provides an update focusing on progression-free survival after next line of treatment and subsequent therapies among patients enrolled in the ASCENT-04 trial. The study compared sacituzumab govitecan plus pembrolizumab vs chemotherapy plus pembrolizumab in patients with previously untreated PD-L1–positive metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (Abstract LBA1000).
