The American Society of Hematology (ASH) announced its decision not to hold the 62nd ASH Annual Meeting in San Diego as planned given the continuing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting will be offered as a virtual experience from December 5–8, 2020.

The Society commented, “While there is no replacement for the excitement and camaraderie of the in-person ASH Annual Meeting or the beautiful backdrop of San Diego, we are excited by the unprecedented opportunity to reimagine our meeting on an innovative digital platform built for learning, collaboration, and networking. Most importantly, a virtual meeting ensures the safety of our global audience while providing greater accessibility and flexibility for you to consume world-class scientific content in the way that is most convenient for you.”

Because of this change, the Society has extended the abstract submission deadline for the ASH Annual Meeting through next Monday, August 10. Visit the abstract site to learn more.
