Fox Chase Cancer Center announced that Andres F. Correa, MD, has joined the Department of Surgery in the Urologic Oncology Division as Assistant Professor. Dr. Correa, w ho was a Society of Urologic Oncology Fellow at Fox Chase, is returning to the center after serving as Attending Surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Division of Urology in the Department of Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.

Professional Expertise
Dr. Correa received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he became a urology resident and eventually chief resident of urology. Dr. Correa is skilled at all surgical modalities including robotics, laparoscopy, and traditional open surgery, and has expertise in prostate, kidney, bladder, testicular, and other genitourinary cancers.
Dr. Correa is a member of the American Medical Association, National Hispanic Medical Association, American Urological Association, and the Society of Urologic Oncology.
He has published more than 20 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, has presented at numerous academic meetings, and has contributed to book chapters in the field of urologic oncology.
