A modeling study published in BMJ Open suggests that multicancer early detection screening using a single blood sample, whether conducted annually or biennially, could improve patient outcomes by detecting cancers earlier and preventing progression to later stages. The study evaluated potential screening intervals for new multicancer early detection screening tests and their impact on cancer stage at diagnosis and mortality.
