A recent survey by The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center revealed that only 13% of U.S. adults correctly understand that testicular cancer predominantly affects men under 40. Dr. Shawn Dason emphasized that many young men overlook health concerns while focusing on careers. The survey highlighted misconceptions, with 65% believing screenings should start after age 40, despite the condition being most detectable through self-exams between ages 20 and 40. Early diagnosis significantly enhances cure rates, with many unaware of the typically non-painful symptoms associated with the disease.
