How the AI-Powered ASCO® Guidelines Assistant Is Improving Clinical Decision-Making

The ASCO Guidelines Assistant, launched in May 2025 through a collaboration with Google Cloud, is a novel interactive tool empowering oncologists with rapid access to evidence-based clinical guidelines. This AI-driven platform uses the Vertex AI model to facilitate decision-making by providing concise citations and references tailored to specific cancer treatment queries. While enhancing clinical efficiency, it does not function as a clinical support tool. Feedback is being gathered for ongoing improvements to address the practical challenges clinicians face, especially in resource-limited settings.
