The Conquer Cancer Council (CCC) unites stakeholders from for- and nonprofit organizations to discuss challenges, explore potential solutions, and exchange ideas to improve the quality of care for patients with cancer.

Panelists join ASCO member and volunteer Edward Kim, MD, (far left) to discuss data collection in oncology clinical trials at the 2018 Conquer Cancer Council Annual Meeting at ASCO Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia.

Created by Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, the CCC is a platform for advocates, clinicians, researchers, and industry stakeholders. Each organization comes together to share unique perspectives and work toward a common goal.

“By becoming a founding member of the Conquer Cancer Council, Taiho believes that coming together will help advance science and innovation and, most importantly, improve outcomes and care of [patients with cancer],” said Kim Hart, Director of Patient Alliances at Taiho Oncology, Inc. “The Conquer Cancer Council is a valued opportunity to collaborate with and learn from oncology leaders, regulatory experts, fellow industry colleagues, patients, and survivors.”

Meetings throughout the year give members from across the health-care industry a chance to explore new ideas.

“The meetings are well-planned around critical patient issues that engage multiple stakeholders in finding solutions,” said Margaret Flowers, PhD, Director, Scientific Communications and Grants at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The 2020 application process for membership opens in January 2020. To learn more, visit CONQUER.ORG/CCC or email council@conquer.org. ■
