John Karanicolas, PhD
John Karanicolas, PhD, has joined the Fox Chase Cancer Center as Associate Professor in the Molecular Therapeutics Program.
Dr. Karanicolas, a computational chemist, earned his doctorate from the Scripps Research Institute. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington. He comes to Fox Chase from the University of Kansas, where he served as Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Biosciences and Center for Computational Biology.
“Dr. Karanicolas is an accomplished and renowned scientist,” said Wafik El-Deiry, MD, PhD, Co-Leader of the Molecular Therapeutics Program at Fox Chase. “His knowledge and experience in the field of chemical biology make him an important addition to both the scientific community here at Fox Chase and our Molecular Therapeutics Program.” Dr. Karanicolas will have his own lab at the Center and assumed this position at Fox Chase on August 18.
