The ASCO Nominating Committee has selected 13 distinguished members as candidates for open leadership positions within the Society.

President-Elect: Deb Schrag, MD, MPH, FASCO, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Dr. Schrag is a gastrointestinal medical oncologist who currently serves as Chair of the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering and as Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. quality, effectiveness and experience of cancer care. Dr. Schrag attended Medical School at Columbia Presbyterian, trained in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and completed her fellowship at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Prior to MSK, she served as Chief of the Division of Population Sciences at Dana Farber and as Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Schrag has served ASCO in a variety of roles including chair for the Health Services Committee and as a member of the Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committee, Quality and Practice Guidelines Committee, the Joint Special Awards Selection Committee, and as mentor for the Leadership Develop Program and member of the ASCO Board of Directors.
