Christian A. Koch, MD, PhD, FACP
Fox Chase Cancer Center announced the hiring of Christian A. Koch, MD, PhD, FACP, who will join the Department of Medicine, Section of Endocrinology, as Director and Professor. Dr. Koch comes to Fox Chase from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, where he served as Clinical Professor.
Dr. Koch is board certified in endocrinology and internal medicine, with a special focus in endocrine oncology. He serves on the committee for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists Pituitary, Gonad, Adrenal, and Neuroendocrine Disease State Network.
Dr. Koch received his medical degree from Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Ohio State University Hospitals. He was also a fellow in endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health, with rotations at Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Koch has received several awards, including Master of the American College of Endocrinology, and was honored as a U.S. News & World Report Top Doctor from 2011 through 2016. He is also a member of several associations, including the Southern Society of Clinical Investigation, the American Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
Dr. Koch authored and published the book Endocrine Hypertension, published in 2013. He has written numerous articles, letters, and editorials for peer-reviewed journals, as well as served on the editorial boards of several journals. ■
