Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Centerhas established the Philip Salem Annual Oncology Lecture in honor of Philip A. Salem, MD, a physician, researcher, educator, and international statesman in cancer medicine; Director Emeritus of Cancer Research at Baylor/St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston; and President of Salem Oncology Center. The inaugural lecture was presented on April 12, 2018, by Issam Raad, MD, Chief of Infectious Diseases at MD Anderson. Joining Dr. Raad were Steven Curley, MD, and Dr. Salem.
