SIOG 2017 Advanced Course in Treviso, Italy

The International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) has a workshop to educate young investigators in geriatric oncology research. The SIOG Advanced Course, which is held in Treviso, Italy (June 28–July 1, 2017), is our unique continuing medical education–accredited training program led by international experts in the field of geriatrics and oncology. It is designed to provide specific skills in assessment, care pathways, and therapeutic choices about elderly patients with cancer to create the basis of the assessment and the multidimensional approach that should be applied to elderly patients with cancer.

This two-phase advanced course is geared toward professionals in the management of elderly patients with cancer who will acquire knowledge on the general principles of cancer treatment as a multidisciplinary approach. It includes case-based programs, discussions, and debates in geriatrics for clinical oncologists as well as in clinical oncology for geriatricians.
