In the February 25, 2017, issue of The ASCO Post, in the article “‘Watch-and-Wait’ Strategy Does Not Compromise Survival in Selected Patients With Rectal Cancer,” a photo labeled Maxime van der Valk, MD, was incorrect.

Dr. van der Valk is a study coordinator with the International Watch and Wait Database Consortium and Leiden University Medical Center in Leiden, Netherlands. She presented abstract 521, “The International Watch & Wait Database for Rectal Cancer: An Update,” at the 2017 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium, ­January 21, 2017.

The ASCO Post apologizes to Dr. van der Valk for this error.
