Dr. Diane M. Simeone, a renowned pancreatic cancer researcher, has transitioned from her previous positions in New York to become the Director of the Moores Cancer Center at University of California, San Diego. She continues to lead the Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection Consortium in its global effort to increase the 5-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer. Dr. Simeone's move to San Diego was motivated by the goal of advancing clinical and scientific innovation, improving patient access to care, and fostering a collaborative, patient-focused environment. She remains dedicated to creating leadership career paths for minority clinicians and ensuring equal opportunities in cancer care.
