Clifford A. Hudis, MD, FACP, FASCO
DREXEL UNIVERSITY has recognized the Chief Executive Officer of ASCO, Clifford A. Hudis, MD, FACP, FASCO, as a Drexel 100 member.
Created in 1992 to celebrate Drexel’s centennial, inductees to the Drexel 100 are university alums celebrated for their significant contributions to their respective fields, elected once every 2 years by current Drexel 100 members. Dr. Hudis was honored at the Drexel 100 Induction Ceremony on May 20, 2017.
A highly respected and innovative oncology leader, Dr. Hudis is one of the nation’s leading specialists in breast cancer treatment. Currently the Chief Executive Officer of ASCO, his career in oncology has included serving as Chief of the Breast Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Professor of Medicine at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University as well as leadership positions for the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. He previously received the 2008 Drexel University College of Medicine WMC/MCP Achievement Award, which recognizes graduates of the Medical College of Pennsylvania who are highly acclaimed for their service and leadership in the medical profession. ■
