Shilpa Gupta, MD, has been appointed Director of Genitourinary Medical Oncology at Taussig Cancer Institute and Co-Leader of the Genitourinary Oncology Program at Cleveland Clinic. Her research interests include novel drug development and understanding biomarkers in bladder cancer treatment.
Nima Sharifi, MD, of Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute and Taussig Cancer Institute, has received the American Association for Cancer Research–Waun Ki Hong Award for Outstanding Achievement in Translational and Clinical Cancer Research, for research on the genetics of treatment-resistant prostate cancer.
