Joan Font-Burgada, PhD
Joan Font-Burgada, PhD, has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as Assistant Professor in the Cancer Biology Program. A researcher who focuses on liver cancer and regenerative medicine, Dr. Font-Burgada is a current recipient of the prestigious National Cancer Institute Pathway to Independence Award, a grant that helps highly accomplished postdoctoral researchers complete their training and transition to a faculty position.
Dr. Font-Burgada earned his PhD from the University of Barcelona and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Diego.
“I feel honored to be joining the faculty at Fox Chase,” said Dr. Font-Burgada. “I am excited about the many opportunities for collaboration with my colleagues in the cancer biology program.” ■
