Shilpi Gupta, MD
Atlantic Health System Cancer Care recently announced that fellowship-trained medical oncologist Shilpi Gupta, MD, has joined Morristown Medical Center’s comprehensive breast health program, where her focus is breast oncology and research. Dr. Gupta is on staff at Atlantic Hematology Oncology at the hospital’s Carol G. Simon Cancer Center. She brings to this appointment her expertise in caring for high-risk patients with known breast cancer, BRCA mutations, and suspicious mammography findings.

In addition, my patients can rest assured that they will have access to the latest and most innovative clinical trials through our Breakthrough Oncology Accelerator and Atlantic Health Cancer Consortium, the only New Jersey–based National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program.”
In addition to expanding the breast cancer research program at Atlantic Health System Cancer Care, Dr. Gupta provides knowledge and experience across oncologic diseases, including gastrointestinal cancers and benign hematology. Prior to her new appointment, Dr. Gupta completed her residency and fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital, Northwell Health, where she served as Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Medicine. She then joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, continuing her commitment to excellent patient care and taking on numerous leadership roles at both institutions.
