CTCA Names National Director for HIPEC Research

Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) has announced the appointment of Jesus Esquivel, MD, as the National Director of Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC). In this position Dr. Esquivel will oversee the organization’s national HIPEC research. Dr. Esquivel’s past experience includes positions in Social Service in Mexico, as Attending Physician of General and Oncology Surgery at Kaiser Permanente, and as Director of Peritoneal Surface Malignancies at St. Agnes Health Care Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Additionally, Dr. Esquivel has been an Assistant Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Adjunct Member of the United States Military Cancer Institute. Dr. Esquivel performed his fellowship at the Washington Cancer Institute for Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology. ■
