The announcement of a 15% cap on facilities and administrative costs by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has raised concerns about the impact on cancer research infrastructure, potentially leading to lay-offs, reduced research output, and incalculable losses. These cuts threaten the leading position of the United States in biomedical research and its ability to innovate and save lives.
