Syed Abutalib, MD
THE CANCER TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA issued congratulations to Syed Abutalib, MD, in July for being appointed to the Education Committee for the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT). Dr. Abutalib is Assistant Director, Stem Cell Transplant & Cell Therapy Program at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center of Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Chicago.
The ASBMT aims to secure the highest quality of care for all blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy patients. The ASBMT’s Education Committee is working toward a number of goals, including one to complete and report on the feasibility of a certification program for clinical stem cell transplantation, and in conjunction with this goal to look toward establishing an ASBMT International Online Fellowship in Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation.
