Immunotherapy for Lymphoma
AT THE University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Sattva S. Neelapu, MD, led a multicenter study of patients with refractory large B-cell lymphoma who received chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell immunotherapy.
Patients receiving this therapy had high levels of durable response, with some side effects.
Immunotherapies represent a promising new option for patients. Prior to the discovery, the survival for patients with lymphoma could be measured in months. ■
