In September, ASCO announced the names of 14 ASCO members who have been selected by the ASCO Nominating Committee as candidates for open leadership positions within the Society for the 2014 ASCO Election. The two candidates nominated for President-Elect are Lynn M. Schuchter, MD, FASCO, and Julie M. Vose, MD, MBA, FASCO.

Biographic information and interviews with each candidate, as well as instructions for casting a proxy ballot, were made available on October 29. Proxy voting will close on November 26. Election results will be announced in mid-December. All information about the election will be announced on asco.org/election. The new President-Elect will assume office at the 2014 ASCO Annual Meeting in June.
